This is an unfortunate and inappropriate set up rolled out by the new Primal IOS app. Disappointing for sure. Its not self custody. Its not private. It gives apple a full view of your sat purchases. It puts 30% of sat purchases into the pockets of a huge centralized corporation. WTF!!!

You can look at it that way for sure. Or you can look at it as an important stepping stone to open the gates for regular users to join us. This makes it incredibly easy for everyone to join the decentrilized censorship resistant community (both Nostr and crypto). And once the gates are so wide open and easy to walk through then we can slowly educate more and more people about this issue.
New users don’t want self custody at the beginning, they want content monetization that works. We are here to teach the rest.
We already saw what happens if you don’t pay Apple their App Store tax. I consider this a big brain move from primal.
