This absolute beauty of a branch of #Garlicot x #BearsXOReserve, a @staefli_farms x @seeds.that.feed collaboration, had to come down a week or two early out of our testing rooms due to concern about a spot of botrytis, as is a common struggle with such massive flowers indoors, but I’m sure as anybody can see this flower was on a fast track to ripen marvelously. It’s a bit windy here on the farm today, and even with the shelter of our tractor barn I struggled to keep this branch steady for the camera. The flowers have an airy appearance on the outside but are quite dense and the cola very heavy. Strong scents of Myrcene and Pinene-associated profiles such as mango, papaya, kiwi, cedar sap, and fuel mingle on this one. Having worked extensively with most of this cultivar’s parental lines I can see very balanced influences from the Blueberry Preserve f3 which lends the blue-tinged hue, tremendous yield, and classic 1990’s flower structure, to the TKO and Garlicot contributing the thick frosty trichome development, and the Garlicot’s strong and very desirable fruit~fuel profiles. She has been stacking weight as well as frost by the day for the finish, and I’m curious to see how the rest of this flower that remains in testing ripens; With another week or two on the vine this flower would have matured to quite the incredible cola. This test plant is of our upcoming release for our #OregonWildfireReliefProject, aiming to support #Oregon communities hit by #Wildfire in our upcoming 2022 #FireSeason.
