I remember reading this book a long time ago. What a story! 10/10 would recommend - especially to this community 🤙

Anyone else read this?

It’s on my “got to read” list.

Shawn, my man, I swear you won’t regret it!

No doubt. I’ve heard nothing by good things.

A real eye opener

Abuse of Power on a sovereign level…mind boggling

Exactly right! The stories that are not told but shape the world we live in.

New age imperialism.

Was this the book describing how the USA/CIA destroys 3rd world countries like the Mexico and the Philippines?

Don’t remember all of the countries (been a long time) but it definitely touches on the abuse in Panama, Ecuador and a few others

Adding to my list! Chomsky’s books had me turning inside out on how the economy and politics of under developed countries were controlled. And John Potash’s too. Among the first that took me on this wild ride that eventually led me to this community was Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay

Ouuuh will take a look at the Charles Mackay book - just my type 👀

One of my all time fav, also draws a clear perspective on the current Ordinals issue

Interesting! Wasn’t Charles Mackay a poet in the 19th century?

Did not know he was a poet! A Scotsman from the 19th century - draws ties to historical trades, politics, and the pursuance of crowd to achieve the goals

Interesting, I’ll be on it sooner than later! 🙂
