my understanding is not very technical, but my impression from drivechain.info is that they seek to implement shitcoins into the bitcoin mainchain in order to get some non-necessary features
why not just keep them separate
why cant they just build other shitcoins and experiment off chain
I think there is very little risk of shitcoins on sidechains. We already have sidechains with a risk model far more reasonable than most shitcoins/defi, and yet, people continue to avoid Liquid and roll their scam independent of it. Sztorc's whole argument that drivechains would kill altcoins is bullshit.
