Literally nobody needs gangsters. It's not a necessary occupation, and when it's glorified in your culture it poisons your people. Nobody's ever said " you know this neighborhood could really use more gangsters." It's not something you should be glorifying. People may from time to time need warriors, but the criminal opportunist scumbags that drive half your young men to death or prison are your ENEMY. And so are the people glorifying it in your culture.

I sense you're coming at this note from a very specific point of view. You mention movies, neighborhoods, race, glorification, warriors, etc. All words from your replies.

I still posit that most if not all families have a gangster in their midst.

I'd be so bold as to say it's possible there is a drug dealer in most American families too.

I'm not suggesting you know who the drug dealer in your family is. And it's a good thing that you don't know who it is. Like gangsters, drugs can be bad for your neighborhood too. And bad for a race.
