Calinic of Cernica, born in Bucharest, felt a deep connection to monastic life early on. Despite his family's attempts to steer him toward marriage, his heart belonged to God. One night, his mother dreamt of the Theotokos, who told her Calinic was destined for monasticism. This dream changed everything. His parents supported his calling, and he entered Cernica Monastery. He became a beacon of spiritual renewal, known for his wisdom and devoutness, later becoming Bishop of Râmnic.
