To what end? For what purpose...
The way we look down on insects as being fairly useless in achieving our goals is pretty much how I assume any dieties would look upon life on earth. With so much power under their own control, why project it upon the insignificant apart from as torture or a plaything.
Or just give every American a cell phone. Samsies.
