Repudiation is usually considered a threat to information integrity.

If anyone wants to establish an agreement privately over simplex, this would make it one party’s word against another’s.

Is this for all simplex or a special mode the user can invoke? I would read the GitHub page to find out but it’s 404

Repudiation is the important quality for any private conversation - it gives digital conversation the same properties as face to face - you can plausibly deny it. And yes, non-repudiation can be added in the context where it is needed.
