When there’s an in-app wallet, what if there’s a certain threshold of sats that need to be deposited there to have access to writing notes?
Discussion
The expense relay in the early code, has an option built in
You can auth yourself by sending sats as a deposit.
Was thinking that if you misbehave you lose your deposit.
It could take a few sats per month/post(even fractions of a sat)
And you could unsubscribe for a refund if wanted to.
Doesn’t work ATM. I’ve been considering forking and making it work for real.
What I’m really interested in seeing is paying sats per post.
Creating monetary incentives for relays to provide a service will be the easy part. Making it such that it won’t slowly centralise over time is the real challenge. And it might be hard to predict what policies would prevent that from happening
What could one relay offer over another? Or would you expect them all to basically do the same thing?
