What if it was as easy to create a Nostr Relay as creating a new WhatsApp group?

Each relay would basically be an outbox where you post copies of your signed messages based on the group you want to reach. 📤

You could have a relay for yourself (as a backup and to sync all your devices), multiple public relays for censorship resistant free speech, and a relay for each of the communities you are part of, each with their own access rules.

What do you think? Wouldn’t that help keep Nostr decentralized? Wouldn’t that be easier to implement than group encryption mechanisms (though one doesn’t prevent the other).

Anyone already working on that?

Testing zaps on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at 43c48b@wallet.yakihonne.com, over a period of about 1 hour. All six attempts were successful. Please check on your end to be sure you received. Average zap time was 7864ms (7.9 seconds). We consider this zap time slow... generally, zaps should complete in under two seconds. (Other Nostr users might think your zaps are broken, might not zap you again.) If you wanted to speed up your zap confirmations, you could try receiving zaps with a well-connected, cloud-based Lightning node.
