It’s crazy how people think rich people have good taste.
everything in their world is designed.
yes they get exposure to expensive things, but they mostly pay people to have good taste for them.
if they had to do it themselves their houses would look just as shitty as yours and mine.
also plenty of people with money still have evidently terrible taste. money does not buy taste.

Nailed it by saying they pay people to have good taste for them. They pay in fiat and get what they pay for.
All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit.
