Anybody heard of this? Is it a NOSTR competitor? As far as I can tell it basically is NOSTR but for Ethereum, using smart contracts for coordination instead of relays. The Farcaster site's use of the term "sufficiently decentralized" and saying that it's in "private beta" makes me a bit wary though.

I'm not sure how it compares to nostr in a technical sense. But it looks too complicated. If nostr had taught me anything it's that the simpler a protocol is the fast it will get adopted and built on.
Looking at their GitHub they have 5 steps including a video to explain how it works.
