Im not sure there is any. I used to get popped for sighing, rolling my eyes, and sucking my teeth. My mom considered it the ultimate sign of disrespect and manipulation.

Same Lotta Bitblaq!

I remember thinking my mom was so mean because she wouldn’t tolerate it at all. Then I started interacting with women older than me who hadn’t had that lesson and they are kind of the worst. It’s like “I’m gonna sigh as loud as possible annnnd fold my arms so you have to give me what I want, now”… or they sigh because they are demanding attention now.

Yes, instant pop! May be a southern thing, idk.

When I had children of my own and taught school I realized just how disrespectful it is.

Grateful that mom taught me right

Sounds like you could use a deep sigh of relief.

Also disrespect is sometimes necessary.

Idk. I’m not afraid of confrontation or discourse and I enjoy smack talk but disrespecting people who go out of their way to provide for you is never ok.

My dad and I don’t see eye to eye but I’ve never once disrespected him. I’m not a fan of disrespectful kids… ever.
