I don’t think bitcoin as an MOE is fading. I used to think that tho, even like a week or two ago…

But

1) The world doesn’t have an MoE problem it has an SoV problem and today that problem is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than any other problems. SoV probably IS the most relevant use case for the world today.

2) LN is not broken and custodial LN does works, despite the UX during failure being about as fun as medieval torture device. We need more investment in LN infrastructure and I do think that’s coming.

3) Bitcoin is already an MoE in circles that understand it or have a pressing need for it to be an MoE

4) Once the 99% realize they need real, actual Bitcoin (and not ETF cuckoldry) as an SoV, then Bitcoin will become an MoE because that’ll be the only way for most people to get it (work). Once you have a critical mass demanding Bitcoin for their labor, MoE, necessarily solidifies.
