Replying to Avatar jack

I'm gonna post to #Nostr to try and help out with all posts not being about Nostr or Bitcoin itself, but try and just bring some sort of other community here.

I think the main thing putting people off of joining or using the app (other than some of the complexities that can be ironed out still) is the fact that everyone here talks about $$ & BTC lol.

I know there are ways to mute it out (mute words, etc..) but there's still not really any avoiding it.

I end up only having my timeline show the RSS feeds I've added to nostr for the periods when price of BTC posts reach a frenzy. Nostr is kind of ok as a basic rss reader.

I do often wonder how / if nostr can escape the 'they only talk about the price of bitcoin' complaints. It does seem a make or break obstacle to surmount.

But yeah there are some communities (mostly Bitcoiners sho want to talk about these other niche interest) here focused on non-btc tourettes posts.
