Not really. I didn't read anything about this Coinbase deal.

I think most people just want to hate on Coinbase.

But, there might be more rightful reasons too. I recall Lightspark showing off with this KYC-ed lnurl (UMA) - a proprietary, compliance friendly lightning solution for corporations...

I'd assume Coinbase will be using that tech as well; and I wonder about the interoperability with the actual lightning...

UMA seems exactly like what strike is doing 😅 but without branding.

Lol, somewhat, yea.

But the crucial difference, AFAIK, Strike let's you send to anyone. This UMA sounds more like a KYC sponge; allows you to receive from anyone, but send only to their addresses.
