I dont think this is a cotton mouth, but my philosophy is watch them from a safe distance, regardlesss....
Our cotton mouths here in FL are relatively short & thick. not like this here...
this looks more like the black racers we have here. long & slender. y'all have racers there?
For sure, hose distance was plenty close for me. Not sure if we have racers here. A lot of water snakes.
