Like, we need to be keeping track of who our people are, so we don’t lose them if the tech that is keeping track for us goes away. Another metaphor: we should always have a backup, so we can rebuild somewhere else.

Tech reliance creates skill atrophy from lack of use & leaves us ill equipped when we need those skills.

GPS reliance reduced:

1. practice of personal, daily navigation

&

2. literacy of navigation assets e.g. a paper map.

Being able to navigate is no longer an essential skill but an elective one. With an over reliance on a smartphone-a device for connecting you with others, not to run your entire life.

Swap navigation for social interaction.
