Rorbuer are traditional Norwegian fishing huts, often painted in the iconic red color. The name 'Rorbuer' comes from the Norwegian words 'ro' and 'bu' which means 'to row' and 'small house'. Basically 'rowers hut'.

Today mostly accommodation for tourists these huts were originally built for seasonal fishermen who needed a place to stay during the fishing season. 🏡🇳🇴

Up to seven fishermen have shared such a hut and even the beds sleeping head to feet. Imagine the smell of pure masculinity and fish.…👌🏻🎣🤣
