Is there any way to keep relays from reading this data ? To improve privacy ?
I see even more clients implementing in-app zaps so even the clients will now know who you are zapping

no, if you want privacy just use LN without zaps 😉
Also, your zap wallet shouldn’t be the same one connected to your node.
That precaution I already took. I have wallets with small amounts for here.
I do run a bitcoin node, and a lightning node.
But I don’t know how to setup the lightning node and link it to a wallet, I will look into it once I have some free time.
Yeah just use Zeus and fill up your WoS or other mobile wallet.
I don’t see why anyone would want the name or nym associated with their node. Especially if the node is verifying their non kyc sats.
Suppose I’m connected to X number of Relays (in Damus client). I am zapping to someone who is connected to Y number of relays (say Amethyst client) via Wallet of Satoshi. So X and Y could be disjointed set of relays. When I create zap requests from Damus which relay of Y is being used? Not sure this makes sense
