Bitchat might become the most popular app powered by nostr.
The users are unaware and do not a need a lecture on nostr before starting to benefit from it.
It’s a great signifier to builders and devs to seriously consider and check out the nostr identity layer, and in this case selectively apply other nostr stuff in private DMs.
Not to mention high likelihood of upcoming cashu wallet (NIP-60).
Non nostr non btc devs are already asking about nostr https://github.com/permissionlesstech/bitchat/issues/368.
In other words,
It’s a great app that provides a Nostr identity without the fuss. I hope someone can add an option to “export” the identity so that it can be used by “compatible” apps
