no but I've followed its development like most bitcoin things

So you can run it and know precisely the number of nodes and what software they're running and information like cluster of nodes?

you sample the nodes you connect to over time, which is based on the netgroup manager logic (which should takes asmaps into account)

i'm looking through this code now to get a better idea on how it works.
