Inscriptions make my life as a maximalist easier. I used to have to go to meetups or shitcoiner scam threads to warn them about getting rekt. Now I can just sit back and wait for them to arrive here, in Bitcoin. I can say, welcome to bitcoin, try not to get rekt.

Does it matter what they are? I don't buy either Nft's or Ordinals as it is not my kinda thing but.... Nft's are just receipts to a picture on a server so I think as art that is pointless as all you own is a receipt to something that may not be there. Are inscriptions on Btc different because they are actually inscribed on the Sat?

You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it and highly unlikely that the inscription would be pruned off by not keeping the signature data and reaching consensus.

I clearly am no expert on any of this, but don't see a problem with it as cannot see how it will change Btc in any way. Neither for or against the idea of inscriptions and believe it will probably just stay in a small proportion of the Sat's and not change Bitcoin in any way.

Happy to be enlightened if anyone thinks that I am wrong. I just think it all seems a big nothing burger.
