The follow worked. And your previous follow might have been deleted / lost. The only way you get messages is when Mostr posts them to your inbox. Of if your instance cached it, or maybe received it from elsewhere in the fediverse.
That's why it should have an output. 
Similarly in the other direction, when I follow you I don't get historical posts. It should proactively fetch them.
This is what should have been sent to your instance. Now if I like my alter ego nostr:npub1m930ns0wrmzl9w5hxw003aejey5086hlk3jenw6uxheg9jplvv2qmz4fr3 it should show up on mastodon . nl too.
