Imagine what we’re envisioning now that won’t look anything like that. nostr:note14xmdfnwt2d5zkxzm3d5z7mtj344dt90vs7xau5p0lqr2qsphg7vsf0nhpn

The PC used to look like this.

Thought:

- Screen attached to the pc

- CD still in use

- weird boob speakers

- ugly keyboard (ok, this still exists lol)

- wired keyboard and mouse

Reality:

- wide screens, VESA attachments, touch screens

- Disks completely gone unless you are stuck in the past. Replaced with solid state media.

- built in speakers or fairly similar speakers to what we had (and probably the boob speakers exist)

- Thin keyboards, laptops, built-in, mechanical keyboards, and ugly remnants

- Wireless keyboards and mice, touch surfaces, voice control (mobile)

Hm... Here's what I think PCs of the future from now will look like:

- A box PC (nothing changed here, perhaps just smaller)

- No screen. Glass or contact or neuralink (depending on how invasive the user wants upon themselves) where the screen is projected (think how Quest 3 or Apple VR does it)

- Mouse and keyboard will stay, just continues to improve, however, there'll be options for voice to text, and look-gesture to click/drag, like what we have now but more standardized.

- input/output: Something with magnets or just straight-up wireless. Minimal physical i/o.
