That wont compute

are you some kind of a genius ?

i only upgraded CPU once in my life - it was a dual xeon system where i originally went with low-spec CPUs to save money - but then about 5 years later i bought used CPUs that were several times more powerful and cost peanuts by that point - i also switched to SSD at the same time and combined the two upgrades revived that dying system and gave it another 3 years of life or so ...

but usually when my system begins to slow down i just build a new system from scratch including new chassis and power supply

"upgrading" your system sounds good in theory but in practice it's dumb

just build a new system every 3 years or so and keep the old ones as backup

it may make sense to upgrade something like Wi-Fi card but that's about it ...

if you built your system properly in the first place every part of it will get outdated at about the same time ...

AMD64 instruction set is outdated anyway, the last one you bought might as well be the last one you ever buy. The new snapdragon smartphone chip gets over 10k multi-core score in geekbench, and someday consumer-grade RISC-V open-source stuff will be here to save us all
