"Home relays store all YOUR content: all your posts, likes, replies, lists, etc. It's your home. Amethyst will send your posts here first. Your followers will use these relays to get new posts from you. So, if you don't have anything there, they will not receive your updates."

I am confused 🤯

Does this mean that posts just go into the void when no home relay is configured?

I wasn't aware and currently have not selected a home relay.

If it is the case, shouldn't there be a default configuration? 🤔

If you don't have a home, Amethyst will scatter your posts to the General Relays. It doesn't guarantee your followers will see your posts, but it is better than nothing.

Defaults are very centralizing. Everyone should investigate and choose their own home relays.

Vitor, could you clarify the difference between a Home relay and a General relay with thr "Home" activated?

For instance, if I set my own relay as Home but keep nostr.lol as a general relay with the "home" option enabled, will nostr.lol still get a copy of my notes?
