Update on this discussion. The pi coin arguments boiled down to it's more green because you can mine on a phone and it's secure because every miner has to be KYC'd.... Also Bitcoin is old tech and made by the feds....

Anyway, explained best as I could the time chain, proof of work, permisionless open networks and stranded energy but will take some more work to turn them into bitcoiners.
