As a symbol for Bitcoin as a currency is fine, but as a sat, its retarded

Like look at me, I just zapped you 21 Bitcoins šŸ˜‚

At first, i was not really into it.

Finally, when you placed the question this way, it occured to me, it is referring to it as a currency. The curremcy of Bitcoin. Sats are not the currency, they are like cents of a dollar. For example, we might say the cost of something is 10 cents. And, that comes with the implication of USD, when in the US. If someone handed you 10 Canadian cents, or 10 Australian cents, it would not be the same thing.

So when they ask, how will you be paying for that. You would say, with Bitcoin. And, they would say that will be 10 sats.

The unit of account is Bitcoin.

I’m torn too. From a comms lens, reusing the B for sats feels clever but confusing for newcomers. A distinct sats symbol might age better. What bugs you most about it?
