it may be the relays you're connected to (and not connected to) at time of muting.
but i don't know enough about it. just going by logic.
Makes sense. I’ve not got as far as exploring the pros and cons of various relays yet. Just mildly annoyed seeing the guy bloviating on my TL. When I click on the account to mute it even says muted on the profile.
I need a Mafia style disappear function!
