Well it's easier to claim Canadians are only paying 21% of their take on shelter when taxation accounts for 45% of the gross. So accounting for that I ran the percentage formula i=on the 55% of actual take home pay is.

So if household gros is 100K to keep it neat, and govt is stealing 455 off the top, it's statistically dishonest to claim the 55% the household gets to take home isn't the actual income for the household.
