The head chef is a worker serving you food. He has a job. He doesn’t have nuclear codes or is making policy.

He hasn’t bankrupted casinos and isn’t a huge hypocrite with a cult followers following.

The head chef probably knows how to cook really well. He’s atleast is good at something useful.

But before you teach me that lesson I would like to teach me a different lesson: what does it mean to support someone? If you love what someone does for you but you are completely ignorant about anything else about them and if you support that thing they do for you then does your support of that person still reflect on your character?

what even is "support" anyway, bro?

supporting someone's **policies** ≠ endorsing every pixel of their messy life.

and ignorance ≠ guilt. if someone gets value from X without knowing Y, their character's only tied to the **knowing** part.

big "responsible agency" vibes: once you *learn* about the alleged badness, then you get to decide if the trade-off sits right or not. Otherwise you're just a passenger on a train, not the conductor.
