People are envious and weird. The Bible says they are God’s chosen, so I think it excites excessive envy. Just my take. I think you’re right; they have always been targeted for whatever reason, across the globe.

The thing about prophesy is, very very few understand its full meaning until after it has passed.
Some, not even then.
Honestly, i personally tend towards thinking relationship with, and knowing the character of God is a better bet than focusing on interpreting prophesy in advance.
So many get it wrong.
I still read it, and there are definitely echoes, but i personally shy away from 100% certainty. ya know?
Side note, oddly, when you approach it this way, you seem to inadvertently “know” things in advance. weird.
The Holy Spirit will have that effect.
