Don't spend too many #sats on hardware wallets, or don't even bother getting one. The encryption and password on these devices will be cracked, whether it's by quantum computers, an exploit we haven't discovered yet, or something else.

Keep your seedphrase in your mind, it's the main place to store it. Anything else like hardware wallets, paper wallets, metal shit, or QR codes are just extra backups. Always have a backup on the physical realm in case your mind fails, preferably cheap (paper), and always use a passphrase.

Stack #bitcoin, not hardware wallets.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. But how do you first create the seed to memorize if not using a wallet at all?

It's not a dumb question! I'd suggest creating the seedphase offline using TailsOS or #seedsigner. Alternatively, you can also do it with dice and pen & paper. nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 has plenty of great tutorials on that topic.

Thanks! So if done offline, how will the blockchain know my seed and wallet are legit? Is it that all seeds are already created? Can two offline compiter produce the same seed? I figured this is why internet is required, to confirm everything. I would love to make one the most secure way without spending money on a hardware wallet.

All #bitcoin seedphrases are already "created", because it's just math. There are more possible seedphrases than atoms in the universe, so the chances of two people producing the same seedphrase are zero (when done properly). You don't need an internet connection to create a seedphrase, or to create a transaction – only if you want to broadcast it.
