It is super easy NWC and it just works! I don't really like to advocated for custodial services, but I have to give credit where credit is due. There are a lot of shit apps wrapped around lightning (and even LND and CLN are mostly shit as they fail a lot to preform successful transactions); however, nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7cnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqqyztlsj9de3xxyangtljggfk72c2gsly22xk6q35va3clh2fcyu53zn2se56 makes it super easy. I have used a lot of lighting apps over the years and this is a breath of fresh air. Also, since it works so well, it makes the cashu movement irrelevant, imho.

You create an account use a VPN and use a fake email and your are in! That is it. You can start sending and receiving BTC right away. Yes, it is custodial, but there is no link to your identity. THEN, you can connect it to all your NOSTR apps via NWC! So, nice!!!

I use nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyd968gmewwp6kytcqyrgl83ck8xhrhwshllrv3h43lke62egxkdyjyy7sxdfges532gmsgaulyj0 and used https://email-fake.com/ to generate my email.

I find Coinos better. No email necessary.

If you're technically oriented, and feel safe that your nostr private key also unlocks your funds, then yes, coinos is a good option.

Our experience is that the ability to recover your account by email -- combined with a 2FA device -- is the right choice for many users.

Without that recovery option.. if you paste your nsec into the wrong app or lose it, then you lose your funds.

Again, for technical users this might be an appropriate risk.

It does not rely on Nostr, has login/password and a 6-digit pin for payments. A fake emai suggested abovel is even worse.

I see what you are saying about the fake email. I only hold small funds for zapping as it is custodial. Yes, I have not tried CoinOS. Does it have NWC? As I needed a quick way to get NWC. I already run my one lightning node and have my own BTCpayserver on my Sovran Pro.

Yes. Also BTC and Liquid BTC

Yes, for technical users who are likely to set up "login/password and a 6-digit pin for payments" -- all good. But for normies, they won't set it up, they will only use their nsec, and many will lose funds because of this.

Plus, I can open direct channel to Coinos for free lightning payments back and forth.

Yes, similar to Rizful Node. The difference is -- which service is likely to leave normies without a way to access their funds? The service which doesn't require a "recover account" option, by email, like 99% of normies expect...

Yes, it is very difficult to build for the masses.

no need to put your nsec, works with amber

Right, again good for technical users with external signers and etc. Most normies, they don't even keep track of their passwords -- they rely on "reset my password" by email to login to websites....
