Absolutely.

It's a shame that women can't feel safe walking around by themselves.

But it's even more of a shame when a grown woman decides she's tired of feeling that way so she goes out and buys a gun or a knife then gets into some situation and ends up hitting herself with it instead.

Where was a good father night take a thing girl out shooting from time to time. And she learned safety and not to be afraid from a tender age where it can be of use and second nature🤷🏽

i personally took classes on my own, my father doesn’t own any because it’s just not a thing in iran, but was supportive in me doing so. i actually had a stalker a few years ago, scary experience.

Support is enough in that situation. Only thing better in my mind would've been if he took classes with you so he can handle himself a bit better as well🤷🏽

No need for the blind to lead the blind. But supporting you to better yourself should always be in a parent's repertoire.
