Read this out of context and first agreed, then thought hang on, probably in this case (I mean in general, not commenting on the OP) it would be better to comment with an appreciation for the proof of work, along with a statement about why one does not agree.

This is because zapping, at least the way I see it, indicates agreement at a glance, and could be misleading if there are many zaps ‘for the appreciation of proof of work’ while disagreeing with the content.
