Trying to stream on nostr with OBS from desktop.

I Signed into snort, trying to log into zap,
but the only login option is "with private key (insecure)" where it recommends a "nostr signer extension" which when clicked redirects back to zap.
What is a nostr signer extension?
What am I missing?

So far extensions are the safest way for logging. You can use alby or nos2x (which is built for this exact use case). Not many clients supports NsecBunker login, which is to put it simple, a way to remote log in into your “account” without giving away your nsec.
Anyways, once you loggin into zap.stream it’s pretty straightforward. You buy time with sats, then copy the live URL that is given and the stream key into the OBS custom broadcast settings, hit start streaming a you are good to go.

Nah, I do the winging and ramble while playing 😂 it’s not populated enough to be like twitch tho, it is indeed very niche and in that sense you’re right.
But in my honest opinion, we need more variety of streams and content; so you’re welcome here as well!
It is pay to stream but imo it’s very cheap. I put like 20 dollars worth of bitcoin and I had almost 4 days of stream time, so that does it for me 😆
