My bank withdrew funds straight out of my bank account for a service they previously assured me would be completely free of charge

I called them and the kid in customer service promised to refund it the next day

At the very end of the call, he added that the refund will only be 3/4 of the amount I was charged

His reasoning for not refunding it all?

The service had already been running for two months

It’s not a big amount, and I don’t have the energy to pester the kid working customer service about it

Bur it’s not right

No other business would be able to promise that a service will be free of charge, both on their website and on the telephone

No other business would then be able to withdraw funds straight from my account

And for then to only refund 3/4 of what they charged

It’s not right
