Alt coins need to raise money for marketing. This requires that they have seigniorage, ie they must sell for more than they cost to produce. Without the marketing, they will never get anyone’s attention or buy in.

That is why there can only ever be one Bitcoin. Another decentralised digital assets where the mining cost is about the same at the sale price at the time of production would be completely ignored in the current jungle of Ponzi schemes.

Bitcoin’s origin story is unique and always will be.
