I still have an ancient free eFax number that I never bothered to turn off. Once in a while I still get spam on it, which is an interesting way to market a business in 2025. Maybe it’s a good way to cut through the clutter now?

There was a service which allowed you to pay for a fax with lightning. I tried to use it once during an online stream a few years ago to send Bitcoin whitepaper to Russian central bank. It seemed to have failed, but I always found that idea fun.
I remember back in the day people used to send pages full of nothing but black bars to troll paper fax users by wasting their toner cartridges.
