I feel like the vaccine push during the pandemic was basically labor/consumer livestock management. Sure, we're sentient, but with the right kind and amount of information, we can be nudged along towards the preferred outcome, same of dumb animals. Sure, the vaccines were bad for some of the cows, but it beats risking a higher order of profit and tax base losses.
