I disagree on no ad revenue being possible, your posts are public record and could be mined for opportunities to sell to your pubkey, I think especially free relays will have deals with advertisers to message users or post replies to notes that meet certain criteria.

Fair point.

Still, there are no explicit ads on Nostr, only workarounds. I suspect those who solicit too often will get filtered out of most Nostrich feeds

Definitely agree on that.. I think people will accept some advertising in exchange for free services, but the interoperability of relays and clients will keep it in check... Advertise too much and you'll lose your audience.
