I had completely forgotten about OER, no one I've met in the states has mentioned anything about this, let alone why these resources should be accessible. Yet, the tools I've used and the tools I want to create are influenced by it 😶

Skimmed through the repos and it looks #OER related. #OER is mostly about the license. Is it a Creative Commons License like CC-0 CC-BY or CC-SA and has to do with education? You might call it #OER.

What might be of interest for you could be https://oersi.org/

It's an index of OER and they work internationally.

E.g. https://oersi.org/resources/aHR0cHM6Ly9vY3cubWl0LmVkdS9jb3Vyc2VzLzktMTMtdGhlLWh1bWFuLWJyYWluLXNwcmluZy0yMDE5L3Jlc291cmNlcy9sZWN0dXJlLTctY2F0ZWdvcnktc2VsZWN0aXZpdHktY29udHJvdmVyc2llcy1hbmQtbXZwYS8=

And you see the used metadata here https://oersi.org/resources/aHR0cHM6Ly9vY3cubWl0LmVkdS9jb3Vyc2VzLzktMTMtdGhlLWh1bWFuLWJyYWluLXNwcmluZy0yMDE5L3Jlc291cmNlcy9sZWN0dXJlLTctY2F0ZWdvcnktc2VsZWN0aXZpdHktY29udHJvdmVyc2llcy1hbmQtbXZwYS8=?format=json

I sketched out a nip to use this metadata profile as a nip here:

https://github.com/edufeed-org/nips/blob/edufeed-amb/edufeed.md

And a relay that understands that and uses the data for indexing it into a search engine https://github.com/edufeed-org/amb-relay

The metadata for these educational materials is based on this Schema (currently only German): https://w3id.org/kim/amb/latest/
