I agree if everyone consents to living under the rule of the constitution. But the only people that consented were the founding fathers who drafted and signed it.
so in your opinion, any constitution or legislative structure is null and void if you are born into it and not living and consenting during its creation or declaration?
Correct. It’s like if I were to just draw up a set of rules and have 1% of the people in my neighborhood sign it and then start enforcing it on everyone in the neighborhood. Even if they didn’t consent to it. That would be null and void. No one would comply with it unless I used violent force against them. Even in our court systems today, the judge would be like wtf are you talking about? You have no authority to just enforce a contract like that on everyone. But that’s what the constitution did and we don’t question that because we grew up with it as being normal.
