I hate those text messages. They so stupid hahaha. Whats messed uo is ppl are actually clicking it or calling the number hahahaa
I got one of these text messages on the same day I had a package out for delivery, asking for my address as the text claimed the package couldn't be delivered. it was the first message like this I have ever gotten, and the package was from Blockstream. so I was a bit spooked. other people tell me this happens all the time.
Interesting. Never had this occur with FedEx, only UPS.
mine was USPS ground. apparently common occurrence. I saw the message early in the morning before coffee and like a dummy I clicked on the link, filled out my correct address and put my credit card info to pay the $0.20 "resend" fee.
honestly writing this I realize maybe I deserve to be scammed and this is the universe reallocating resources to stronger hands.
I am still waiting to see if there's any mysterious charge on credit card but none so far...which makes me wonder what the point of it was.
someone with knowledge of international shipments tells me that the customs info is public, and this ships from Canada. I haven't looked into it anymore, but would be curious if this happens a lot.
