When I was younger I would always win when we played monopoly.

I would always win because I would volunteer to be the banker and then I would cheat by subtly giving myself more than the other players.

This is essentially how the economy works.

At least if people caught you cheating, you'd be banned from being the banker again. In the real world, everyone knows they're cheating—and no one does anything about it.
