Does anyone here have an android and an iPhone ? Recommend to use both or stick to Damus? I have both, and use both phones for SW and modelling. So far Iโve only used my iPhone / Damus. Interested in possibly using both but unsure if it would be beneficial or add difficulties since one canโt have the same app for both phones. #nostr #damus #amethyst #plebstr

I use Amethyst on Android and enjoy it. A few folks I know have both, but you risk nothing by trying it out. Just login via your private key and everything will be there. And if you hate it, just delete it.
If you need a hand setting up wallet connect on amethyst, lemme know.

This isnt how nostr works. Nostr is just how to communicate your messages. Damus and amethyst are the interfaces that plug INTO nostr to allow the free distribution of your notes out into the relay world. Posting on one wont be wonky or not show up on the other. Your private key (Nsec) is what holds your notes (posts) you own your data and share it with which relays you choose. So the relays of damus and amethyst you are connected to would be the only deciding factor on if you posts reach others.

Ya definitely wasnโt asking which one is best as I am here for #damus. ๐But would perhaps make my life a tad easier as I have content on multiple devices. Also I do like versatility.
I use #Amethyst on my Android phone and #Damus on my iPad. The experience is nearly seamless going back and forth. The most annoying thing is that when you clear a notification for a new message or a like on one app, you will still need to clear it on the other.

Damus is best from my experience
You can use as many clients (amethyst, damus, iris, snort etc) as you need. Just downรฑoad and add nsec. Be careful with nsec tho. Test apps out using a dummy nsec. Treat it similar to a bitcoin private key
I have Damus on my ipad and Amethysts on my android. There is no downside that I am aware of. I have no preference between the two. I use Iris on my laptop and it functions equally as well.
