This isn't the first time I've heard such an argument which sounds good but I'm certain is 100% false. Fees exist of all types everywhere but both the buyer and the seller retain the lions share of the transactions added value.

The relevant issue is massive taxes, massive government spending and debt, and inflation (money printing).
