What kind of car? I saw a guy buy a Tesla model 3 battery on eBay and fix it himself for 3k

Oh not an electric car. Just a high mileage paid off SUV that Iโ€™m hoping to keep going so I donโ€™t have to take on a car payment. My wifeโ€™s car just died last month too so Iโ€™m just grumpy about cars right now ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel ya... Been waiting 3+ weeks for the Ford dealer to get the obscure part for my wife's car, so bought an F-150 and two weeks later she ran over a deer antler or bone in the driveway, courtesy of our dogs... So, instead of new tires by winter, we got 4 new ones now!

๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ญ

Oh yeah, plus new batteries for the 1991 Chevy van and soon for the 1999 buick, that i tell my kids is my "chick magnet" lol... Can't see any rust through yet, but got my giant QR sign to save in Bitcoin in the rear window... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜

It never ends lol. My wifeโ€™s old Honda just died last month. We were hoping for many more years on it but it needed a new engine. Weโ€™ve been planning to just share the one car, but now this oneโ€™s giving us some issues too and is going to need some substantial work done. The battery today was a surprise, but so goes it ๐Ÿ˜‚ Trying to avoid a car payment, but at this rate I might be better off with one. Lol

Old Hondas are golden. Bought a nice 2020 GMC truck and the parking brake light came on ,said it needed to be serviced. $4000 dollars later it's now out. Whatever happened to just a parking brake handle and cable.

Aren't free markets just the greatest!! ๐Ÿค‘

Yeah, instead of a car payment, we've got 4 usually reliable vehicles now, ranging from 1991-2011 ๐Ÿ˜‚

We had 2 before my wifeโ€™s car died. It was workable that way. Now with just one usually reliable car, Iโ€™m concerned about getting stranded ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Get a small trickle charge solar panel and leave it connected to your car battery if you don't do big enough drives to keep the battery charged.

Consider getting an ebike
